North Herefordshire walking is surprisingly quite spectacular in the number and quality of walks.

We ourselves have 12 very varied circular walks ranging from 3 to 15 miles. One of the most popular includes Croft Castle with its Tea Rooms – a very welcome “watering hole” part way round the walk. We have a 2-mile “limber-up” stretch along a beautiful stretch of the river. We are at the mid-point of the Mortimer Trail – all 30 miles of it, stretching from Ludlow to Kington for which we have a dinner, bed & breakfast and transport package.

There are many more walks in the area, covering Wigmore, Shobdon, Kington, Orleton and Knighton, all easily accessible from the Riverside Inn.

For our walks, we have very good step by step instructions plus OS maps. If you don’t want them (you independent and professional types), then we won’t lend them to you – fine!

Bring the dog – remember we are dog friendly.

Whichever “denomination” of walker you are, when you stay with us, you will enjoy a wonderfully atmospheric and relaxing evening – and “cracking” food & drink. You will have earned it (unless you are really “casual” but that’s ok too).

Lunch-time parties are welcome – we look forward to catering for the diverse personalities and tastes often found in such parties. The decisive, the sensitive, the vague, the energetic, the jolly and especially the hungry and thirsty.

Day 1 - transported from Riverside Inn to Ludlow. Walk back to Riverside.

Customer car follows Richard to Titley, customer brought back to The Riverside, customers walk to their car in Titley

Option B (2 day)
Customer car follows Richard to Kington, customer brought back to The Riverside, customers walk to their car in Kington

Day 3 - Customer car follows Richard to Kington, customer dropped off in Titley, customers walk to their car in Kington

Dinner consists of 2 courses from the a la carte menu, and tea / coffee & fudge (£3 supplement for fillet).
