Individually furnished and decorated, some with four hundred year old beams embedded in the walls, our substantially sized en-suite rooms await you after your evening meal.
Or stay in one of our suites. A lounge, bathroom and bedroom give you oodles of space to relax. Read, watch any of the multitude of digital channels on the TV, open the door and look out onto the ornamental garden. Walk eight steps out of the door and sit with your coffee and newspaper surrounded by lawn, bushes and flowers. Or walk 23 steps to the nearest riverside table where you can watch for the kingfisher and be soothed by the tinkle of gently flowing water. Look through the arches of the bridge and take in the gorgeous greens on the water.
Breakfast we hope will delight you. Freshly cooked to each order using local ingredients. The tomatoes from our garden this year are really good. Kippers are very popular and our special recipe scrambled eggs and smoked salmon have been described as “out of this world”.
Information to plan your daily expeditions is plentiful, whether you walk or drive.
All of our rooms are fitted with minibars full of tempting treats from local suppliers. The suites have Freeview TV.
We only tell you the ghost stories at your leaving breakfast.
